Campaign for Trans Lifeline is live!
Trans Day of Visibility is Monday!
Hello!
Friday began my campaign to raise funds for Trans Lifeline. Trans Lifeline is an important cause to me because they focus on mental health resources, micro-grants for name changes, and specialized services for the incarcerated and detained. We all know how tumultuous the landscape is for LGBQTIA+ in the United States, so right now is when we need to uplift and support the community. Not just Transgender Day of Visibility (3/31/25) or during Pride, but all the time.
The purpose of my campaign is to raise funds, but if you aren’t able to donate, that’s ok! You can still support transfolk in numerous ways.
There are lots of protests and organizations meeting right now. You can find events happening locally on Indivisible.
Contact your representatives and tell them your feelings why they’re dismantling protections for our trans youth and families. Push for support and inclusivity, not just “tolerance.”
Support trans artists, writers, and creators! If you know of any, please feel free to share them in the comments!
Talk to your trans friends and family, be present and listen! Call them up to say hi! Send them some memes! Buy them a coffee or their favorite snack!
Give transfolk a space to feel seen and heard. On days like Transgender Day of Visibility, we shouldn’t be taking away their space or promoting ourselves. Some people are just trying to survive, so it’s ok if they want to just chill.

Now for my campaign! My flavor of craftivism is to design patterns and have all the proceeds benefit Trans Lifeline. This campaign will be on Tiltify (a platform that handles the money portion of this) through Tuesday, April 1st, until midnight EST.
Donate $5+ USD, and I’ll send you Metamorphosis! This pattern is so fun to stitch and I feel like you could invert the colors of the starry & heart motifs if you were feeling more of a pink vibe than a blue vibe. Or use a special trans pride variegated floss you’ve been hoarding!

Small print! This campaign runs through Tuesday, April 1, 2025 and only donations submitted through the Tiltify campaign will be eligible for the cross stitch patterns.
Tiltify doesn’t allow me to automate PDFs as incentives, so I will be emailing you (typically within a couple hours during the day) your patterns. If for some reason you have donated and not received an email from me (badstitchcrossstitch at gmail), let me know! I want you to have your patterns!
As of writing this, we have already raised over $2,000! WHAT! That beats last year! Thank you so much to everyone who has shared and donated. I’m so happy we’re able to give to Trans Lifeline in such a meaningful way.
